This year’s “Big Night Out,” the annual charity event for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, was the setting for a final table comprised of five women and four men This ratio raised more than a few eyebrows since most final tables at these events have historically been populated by men. The winner, Terryann Volberg, a Supreme Court Reporter, shared the final table with Mara Zuckerman, an expert sign language instructor who came in 2nd place. Zuckerman learned poker from Ellen Leikind, founder of POKERprimaDIVAS, who was also at the final table. Leikind was very excited by the event. Last year one of her companies students Lori Klausner, took first place after beating a table full of 8 men . Leikind was glad to see the girls take the prize again. The top prize was a free stay in Atlantic city and 2nd place will have Mara staying at the Gansovoort Hotel and dinner at Bobby Vans.
